Protection of Pacific Leatherback nesting site
Protection of Pacific Leatherback nesting site
The lost nesting habitat of Los Cabos' Leatherbacks poses serious threat to the species. Los Cabos Leatherbacks are traveling north to Todos Santos in search of nesting beaches. But the colder temperatures of Todos Santos don't allow the eggs to develop. Proyecto Todos Tortugueros has a special incubation greenhouse that elevates the temperature and produces healthy hatchlings. This project also protects Leatherback nests from animal depredation, poaching, and extreme weather threats. This project is crucial to the survival of the Pacific Leatherback. Please invite your friends to join the cause and/or Adopt-a-Hatchling at www.todostortugueros.org
