Charleston Waterkeeper

Founded in September of 2008 by Cyrus Buffum, Charleston Waterkeeper is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of Charleston's waterways. By defending against pollution, Charleston Waterkeeper strives to assure that the public's right to clean water is honored. We are part investigator, scientist, lawyer and community activist.
