I've noticed Hulu does have captions, while Netflix and You-Tube doesn't for streaming media. What we need to do is take this to Apple (QuickTime), Microsoft (MediaPlayer), Adobe (FlashPlayer), TiVo and others (MPEG, XviD, DivX, ...) to make sure their formats support captions.
SHaron here. I have always been interrested in signing. I know the alphabet but I would like to have actual conversations. Spelling every word takes toooo long :-)
They do show renewals online and unfortunately they are not closed captioned..also air flights have this same problem...we pay for our plane tickets just as much as other patrons but we cannot watch the movie on the flight

Closed Caption is available. Summary: This video is just the basics to show you how to add closed captions for youtube videos. I use overstream.net adding CC to my videos.

Lisa Wellinghoff, youtube does have CC option. but it is an option that's the significant word here. It is not mandatory so hearing people don't think about it or even know about it unless they look.
YouTube does have a caption option, however, it does require you to create a text file with timecode and captions that are uploaded with your video. It's a pretty tedious process. I use MovCaptioner on the Mac. It does a great job and it's easy to use.
