About Voices For Children

As an organization, we believe that every child in Juvenile Dependency Court proceedings should have a volunteer advocating for their best interests and providing vital information to judges; provide the highest-level training and continuing education for volunteers; annually review and monitor the case files of every child in foster care in San Diego County; increase public awareness about the foster care system; and advocate for legal policies and practices that enhance the quality of life for foster children.

1. Provide a court appointed special advocate (CASA) to every child in San Diego County who needs one

2. Shorten the time children spend in the system and prevent their return

3. Review all cases that enter the Juvenile Dependency Court system and intervene earlier

4. Expand our capacity as a "watchdog" agency for children

5. Compile detailed information about the health and well-being of foster children
