I will be updating the www.VoteClimate.org.au soon in preparation for an Australian 2010 Federal Election
I have completed the Vote Climate "At a Glance" - Policy Comparison for the 2008 USA presidential elections.
If you know people who are voting please send them to this site: http://voteclimate.org.au/USA-20...
The MacCain's and Obama's policies are very similar on a number of points, almost as if they copied each other, though Obama has much stronger policy in many areas.
Only the minor parties talk about public transport but they fail to set emission reduction goals.

Please watch my friend Jeff Rice's video and pass it on. It's very funny. More Wind Farms please: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KurAbrM...

A good result for climate, well done all.
I am heading off to Bali tomorrow to lobby on Zero Emissions. It will be interesting, as Clive Hamilton suggests (see: http://www.voteclimate.org.au/FED07-W... to see of Rudd removes the fossil fuel members from the Australia delegation.
It also will be interesting to see if Labor will be able to get their climate policies through the Liberal controlled senate in the first 6 months which is led by climate skeptic Liberal Nick Minchin.

Final action on the day. When entering a polling both only take the How to Vote card from the strongest climate party (see voting recommendations for which parties vote for) and refuse they others. If you dont want a HTV card or even if you do take one, stop in front the volunteer of choice and say "I am voting for XYZ because of your policies on climate change".
These acts will be noticed by volunteers for the other parties and will help the slow process of influencing party policy and public opinion as to the importance of climate change.
It will also boost the morale of the volunteer of choice.

Remember don't vote Liberal or Labor No1, use the preference system and put the small parties with strong climate policies first before voting for Liberal and Labor.
