I learned that there are many many orphans need adoptive families. I want to adopt internationally, but it doesn't seem to be possible for Indonesians. Although we're not a developed country, there are many families here that are really well off and can be a great adoptive parents, if only given the chance. Can anybody consider this? I really hope one day I can adopt, so i hope somehow the rule can be changed.
I support ShowHope due to the large need for adoptive families. I just recently completed a CD for my senior project of contemporary christian music. I will be selling them at Kristin Fisher's concert at the CTL November 20-21. All proceeds will benifit the ShowHope foundation.
It's hard to fathom that in this day and age with the technology available, that there are so few people who can see the plight of these children and not be compelled to help in any way possible no matter how small. I would like to find a way to help. I am praying for direction. Loving families who want to give a home to a child should not be prohibited due to a lack of funds for the travel and legal fees, etc. The UN should have budgeted program to unite orphans with families willing to adopt them.
