Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in West Denver. As a local affiliate of the national organization, Girls Inc., we provide afterschool and summer enrichment programs for girls as well as outreach programming in partnership with area schools and youth groups. Our goal is to help girls to develop their capacity to be self-sufficient, responsible citizens, while also serving as a vigorous advocate, focusing attention on their special needs. Our curricula is research-based, field-tested and award-winning. Our objectives are to improve academic skills, especially in math, science, and computer technology; develop leadership skills; promote physical fitness; teach methods of self-defense, prevent substance abuse and sexual abuse; develop creativity and appreciation for artistic expression; and prevent teen pregnancy.
