Hey everyone, the application "causes" is being phased out over time, and so I've created an official Ability Beyond the Horizon facebook page. I would love it if all 444 of you would go to that page and "like" it, so that it'll get a web presence on facebook.

Some news with Ability Beyond the Horizon: It looks like we're headed to India in the summer of 2011, we have some people there that are interested in learning to become orientation and mobility instructors, and so Ability Beyond the Horizon is going to go there and teach them. This will be our maiden voyage so to speak as a formal organization, even though I did something similar in Vietnam.

In the summer of 2012 there are currently 6 people in Lebanon that also would like training in O&M. This, believe it or not, will create O&M instructors at each of the visual impairment centers in Lebanon, its a pretty tiny country, but imagine the near immediate impact this will have on a country. I'm so excited, if only it would settle down over there and get just a little more peaceful, hopefully 2012 will be their year.

I hope by 2012 to have more than one team working at once, more impact globally that way, and we have a pile, literally of O&M instructors here in the states chomping at the bit to go teach. Very exciting!!
