About Equal access to drug-free pain management and treatment (Intlife)

All over the world people needlessly suffer from many kinds of pain. In Scotland alone the official statistics show that over 900,000 people suffer from chronic pain - that is about 1 in 5 people. These figures mirror the situation in the UK and the rest of the world.

People in pain need action NOW.

Some people are able to pay for alternative, drug-free interventions of their choice but others cannot.

This is unjust because pain management and treatment is a human right.

Many people feel disempowered regarding their sense of control over their conditions. Many feel hopeless.

I am creating a charitable organisation to offer the choice of and provide access to drug-free treatments for all.

A pain management organisation run by pain sufferes and their supporters for pain suffers and their supporters.

If you believe in equal choice and equal access
If you would like to be part of this movement
If you believe that pain management is a human right

I have a Facebook group for networking, sharing of experiences, support and talking with pain experts: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=80904693297

Together we can make a difference.

I am also a member of the Cross-party Group on Chronic Pain at the Scottish Parliament and am trying to change the Scottish Governments stand on drug-free treatments (alternative medicine) in the NHS. For this to happen YOU need to get involved - I need your support.

1. I aim to raise funds to provide all resources necessary for drug-free pain management and treatments at no cost

2. We aim to set up drug-free clinics to receive pain sufferers and their supporters

3. I aim to provide information and support for pain sufferers, their carers and supporters and provide a forum for exchange of information

4. I aim to conduct evaluations and provide evidence for drug-free pain treatments

5. I aim to empower pain sufferers to take control of their own pain treatment decisions and promote pain management and treatment as a human right
