Your donation goes to support the core mission of:
Shark Research Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

Founded in 1991 at Princeton, NJ, to serve the global scientific community and individuals concerned about the health of the marine ecosystem, SRI has field offices in Canada, Galapagos, Honduras, Mexico, South Africa, Mozambique, Seychelles and the USA. A primary conservation strategy is creating value for sharks as sustainable natural resources for the dive tourism industry, particularly in developing countries. By so doing, a steady revenue stream is generated for local fishers that might otherwise slaughter the sharks for immediate gain. Current programs involve visual and satellite tracking, behavioral and DNA studies of sharks, environmental advocacy, publications and public education.

i am appealing to all Ocean Lovers to Vote for

http://ImagingFoundation.org

The Blue Planet... 70% covered by miraculous water... all the water on Earth makes up a precious 0.02% of the Earth's total mass... The only known living Oceans in the entire universe... After millions of years on Earth... we humans still wonder where we came from... and with our new scientific tools we have determined that the beautiful wonder of nature we call "the Nautilus"... has lived for over 500 million years... until now... most likely declining due to man-made, (orthogenic) Ocean acidification and a few decades of industrial dumping millions of tons of highly poisonous chemicals into rivers worldwide...

If we supposedly intelligent humans destroy this source of so much Life on Earth.... the questions is not will we survive... but should we... Can we learn to respect Life in Our Living Oceans before we kill every living creature that has lived a healthy Life for millions of generations long before we arrived to walk upright on land. We need an education. And this 501-c-3 non-profit organization powered by the "love for life" in a tenacious group of volunteers is going to bring that education to the world. Into classrooms and living rooms worldwide. It's Our Ocean... don't look away.

many animals including species of sharks are endangered, people need to wake the fuck up and realize that if you take out even one thing out of the animal kingdom, it will fuck the whole circle. sharks help keep fishes from being over populated, they eat dead bodies in the ocean to keep it clean, they are animals like any other, and they are capable of kiling. we are not the rulers of the world, we share it with cretures who were here first, and with gorwing populations, and aniaml habitats getting smaller, the animals are getting pissed off and attacking people for taking away their home. i laugh every time someone dies from a tiger attack, or a elephant attack, people should learn to keep their legs closed and stop taking away habitats. whoo sorry there people went on a crazed rant, i love sharks more than any animal, and knowing that they suffer for not even 20% of thier body being used just grinds me the wrong way. im okay with hunting, im form Minnesota where venison is beef, and fish is plenty, as long as the whole animal is used in some way im fine with it. but throwing them back int he water and letting them drown and wiggle to the bottom is cruel and unhuman. why the FUCK would you wanna eat sharks anyway??!! sharks are very high in mercury, which can cause you to become a near Alzheimer with a good ol' poison in the bloodstream and drunk-like symptoms. people are fucking stupid!! you get enough mercury from tuna and other fish and such they dont need anymore!!!
