Operation Smile, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Surgical supplies are urgently needed. There is not enough equipment. The people of Haiti are suffering from fixable, treatable injuries. Lives are hanging in the balance and we have the medical volunteers and resources to do something about it.
Operation Smile currently has a team of 20 highly trained medical volunteers just outside of Port-au-Prince in Fond Parisien, Haiti, where they have set-up a surgical site for earthquake victims. With the medical volunteers, Operation Smile sent three tons of medical supplies and equipment in order to provide Haitians with the quality care they deserve.
The medical need in Haiti will go on for months and Operation Smile will be on the ground for as long as possible. But we must have help from friends like you to continue to send more surgeons, send more supplies, and save more lives.

Operation Smile is truly an amazing organization. It has transformed my life in so many ways and I am only seventeen! As a thoroughly involved member of Operation Smile Student Programs not only was I given the opportunity to go on a medical mission, but I have also seen the amazing transformation that this program has made in other student's lives. And of course, the most amazing part is, that as high school students, we are working together to change the world one smile at a time. This is pretty much the most worthwhile cause out there.
