To heal a child’s arm may take a cast, to heal an infection may take medicine, but to heal a child's smile? That will take Operation Smile’s team of medical mission volunteers.

Summer of Smiles Challenge

Your donation goes to fund this project organized by:
Operation Smile, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

Deadline: Sep 22

Summer is generally a season of joy for children. A time when they play in the sunshine with friends, big smiles on their faces.

But for little ones living with severe facial deformities, summer is filled with sadness. Alienation. Hopelessness. And while other children are out having fun, they’re hiding away in shame.

Their pain never takes a vacation. And neither can we. There are far too many children with cleft lips and cleft palates who need us desperately. And approximately 200,000 more are born with these deformities each year.

You can help by joining our Summer of Smiles Challenge. A generous donor has pledged $500,000 to Operation Smile and is challenging friends like you to match this amount dollar for dollar throughout the summer months. That means any amount you give will help twice as many children in need! For example, your gift of $50 will now have the impact of $100. $120 becomes $240 – which can help provide a cleft lip surgery.

Thank you for making this summer transformational for twice as many hurting children. Operation Smile hopes it gives you something to smile about.
