UOAA volunteers are committed to raising awareness and providing education for new ostomy patients. UOAA's "patient resource" magazines on Colostomy, Ileostomy, Urostomy and Continent Diversion are distributed to its Affiliated Support Groups and hospitals nationwide. Educational materials serve to emphasize the good quality of life that people do enjoy after surgery.
