Mission: Smiles Change Lives is a national nonprofit organization that provides life-changing, essential orthodontic treatment for children from low-income families. Based in Kansas City, the program has treated more than 1,200 children since 1997. With its origin as the Virginia Brown Community Orthodontic Partnership, Smiles Change Lives has emerged as the nation’s leader in providing access to orthodontic care for underserved youth.
We currently have chapters in Missouri (KC metro & St. Louis), Kansas, Florida (Palm Beach County & Miami), New York (Long Island), Minnesota, Kentucky, and Virginia. We have many children in need of oral health care and we are gracious for the orthodontists and dentist who are willing to help.

1. Together with community orthodontists, we provide an opprotunity for young people in our communities a better start on life.
2. Our participants are children and teens whose famillies, other wise, could not afford orthodontic treatment without the assistance of our program.
