i support this effort and don't flame me for this but i hope you all know that global warming wasn't entirely caused by humans.
in fact, during the times of the dinosaurs, carbon dioxide levels were extremely high...most of the carbon was trapped in the ice during the ice age and in the ocean. that i has been melting for tens of thousands of years and slowly releasing carbon dioxide.
The area of global warming that humans contribute most to is destroying the ozone layer. which melts the ice faster.
global warming effects us and animals in many ways... it is sad tht it has gotten this far.. i wish evryone could understand and know that we are in trouble... if evrybody sticks together and helps this cause.. our worl will be a better place in the future or sooner- Lyric <3
Every single person is responsible for his /her actions..let us together act an interact in in the "green" way..every little action in the right direction is important. I try to take the train to work, recycle, reuse and live slowly..:)
we own the politicians..........yet we let them decide against it.........they should be held liable for this fiasco. They have too much to loose in there business ventures to care about our childrens and the planets future!!
Drive less (ride bikes), compost, recycle more things, reuse. How can I get an inexpensive food composter?

Did you know that your homes or workplace are the largest emitters of CO2?
Indeed today buildings account for 50% of all greenhouse gas emissions, and the building sector account for upto 40% of global energy consumption. This represents a challenge and an opportunity for us all.
Technologies currently available are already energy efficient but our target is to find economically sustainable solutions. Our search is on for most energy efficient and cost effective solutions.
The GreenSpaces Challenge invites creative and innovative ideas, products or services that will help us reduce costs and improve energy efficiency.
Join us in the global challenge and conversation that will change the way future buildings are built, and help preserve the earth. Chosen technologies and collaborations will be showcased in the project and will be available to all.

GreenSpaces’s mission is to achieve energy savings by reshaping the way commercial buildings are designed and built. It will demonstrate that the energy footprint can be economically reduced from 40% to 10% of global energy usage, and serve as a model for all buildings.
GreenSpaces is a Flagship project of the Asia Pacific Partnership (APP), which comprise of seven countries – Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, South Korea and USA. It is a project of 1.75 million ft2 built up area and it will be the world’s most energy efficient commercial building. It currently saves 74.4% energy.
According to certain conservative estimates, globally buildings could reduce emissions by 1.8 billion tonnes of C02 - about three times the amount targeted by the Kyoto Protocol. (Reference United Nations Environment Programme www.unep.org)

there's no doubt in my mind that the earth naturally goes thru cycles, but our human impact in this world is dangerous. we are not the be all and end all, we share this planet. bears aren't pumping sewage into our living rooms.dolphins aren't dumping phosphates into our lungs. just knock it off all ready people.
