Don’t forget the forgotten this Christmas
With rising unemployment and repossessions many people will be worried they can’t make ends meet this Christmas.
But tens of thousands of homeless people never enjoyed the boom years before the recession and now find themselves even lower down the pecking order; facing a miserable and lonely Christmas with even less chance of finding a home and a job.
Over eight days, Crisis welcomes up to 2,000 homeless people to our nine special Christmas centres.
Many will arrive from the streets freezing cold, lonely and in need of our help. They’ll be counting on Crisis to provide food, shelter and life-changing services – like housing and job advice – to help them find a route out of homelessness.
We desperately need to open our centres this year –

Hallowe’en Skydive
This Hallowe’en is the perfect time to feel the fear and jump for charity. All you have to do is raise a minimum sponsorship of £395 and the cost of your jump is free. The tandem jump (each individual will be strapped to a qualified instructor) will take place at Hinton Airfield in Northampton. We guarantee Saturday 31st October will be an unforgettable day!

BrazenBunch presents Acoustic Sundays at the Skylight Cafe at Crisis HQ. Some of the most innovative and dynamic artists on the UK music scene today bring music from Afro-groove to Folk, Reggae to Rock and Hip Hop to Jazz in acoustic form in the heart of London's buzzing East End.
The Acoustic Sundays run from August the 9th to September the 13th (except the 30th August) 1-6pm and entry is FREE.

I just checked the site. After the public vote a 'panel of judges' decide the winner. So CBS get loads of free publicity and end up giving a free ad campaign to a to someone their trying schmooze anyway. Basically a fix.
Hang on a minute - I'm sure last time I looked Crisis was in first place by about 10%??? How did we not win??
