Independence House is the only comprehensive resource, counseling and advocacy center on Cape Cod providing a full range of services to survivors, and their children, of domestic and sexual violence.
We help individuals reestablish lives free of fear and violence. We believe individuals have the ability to make the best decisions for themselves and for their family. We guide them in the use of the courts, financial and social services, housing and other community resources that are appropriate for each circumstance.
Our philosophy of self-help and self-determination helps individuals initiate change, make informed decisions and attain short and long-term goals, and so develop strengths and self-confidence that remain long after our direct services have ended.
