About Friends of Seattle Public Library

The Friends of the Seattle Public Library is a non-profit, grassroots membership organization. Their hundreds of volunteers put on the semi-annual Friends Book Sale at Magnuson Park and they operate the
FriendShop in the Central Library, as a service to library patrons and the community of Seattle. The proceeds go to provide enrichment and pilot projects to the Library for activities outside the scope of public funding.

Membership is open to anyone in King County, Washington. The Friends is a 501c3.
