The Global Fund for Women supports a wide range of initiatives that strengthen the human rights of women around the world. The circumstances and issues that women face vary widely across communities, religious traditions, and nations. We believe that women themselves know best how to determine their needs and propose solutions for lasting change. Since its founding in 1987, the Global Fund has given over $71 million to more than 6,000 women''s rights groups in 164 countries around the world.
