To aid in the recovery of adults with mental illness in Washtenaw County, MI
Fresh Start Clubhouse is a PSR (psychosocial rehabilitation) program that aids adults with severe mental illness, who are working toward their recovery. Fresh Start offers assistance with employment, education, housing, and meets other important individual needs. Fresh Start is an effective program that has seen the recovery of many of its members, and continues to offer services to those who have recovered.
1. Members and staff choose how the Clubhouse operates. Participation of members is completely voluntary.
2. All members have equal access to every Clubhouse opportunity.
3. Members and staff work side-by-side to build meaningful relationships. The focus is on the process, rather than the completion of the work.
4. Fresh Start does not focus on the mental illness of a member but on their strengths, talents and abilities.
5. All work in the Clubhouse is meaningful and meant to help members regain self worth, purpose and confidence.
