Birmingham native and New York Times best-selling author Sena Jeter Naslund will be coming home in September. The Birmingham Southern College graduate’s new book, Adam & Eve, will be released at The Literacy Council’s Signature Series fundraising event on September 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.

The Signature Series annually brings prominent authors to some of Birmingham’s most beautiful homes for a private cocktail reception. Patrons will spend the evening with one of America’s most fascinating author and receive a signed first edition of Naslund’s latest work. She is the New York Times best-selling author of Ahab's Wife, Four Spirits, and Abundance: A Novel of Marie Antoinette.

Naslund grew up in Birmingham attending schools at Norwood Elementary and Phillips High School. She graduated from Birmingham Southern College where she received the B.B. Comer Medal in English. She earned a master's degree and a doctorate from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop.
