Help us raise $500 by Installation Nation!
Last year, Primary Colours premiered a new event deigned to showcase installation art in a very unusual space. The event was a great success for audiences, artists, and sponsors alike, so we're excited to stage it again this year.
We've sent the call nationwide to find the most innovating and engaging proposals for site-specific art. A jury will choose seven projects, and we'll give each project $750.
Artists will design their creations in 20' shipping containers plopped down on a vacant lot in Lockerbie. Then we'll add a big 'ol tent, music, food, and refreshments for the big show on June 4-5, 2010.
Staying true to our grassroots mission, we really need support from arts advocates like you to put on this shindig. Every bit counts, small or large, toward defraying costs for the artists, the rentals, the music, the electricity. Otherwise, we'd have to charge 2-3 times admission to the event.
Admittedly, $500 might seem like that big of a goal. But Primary Colours is a a nonprofit that prides itself on running high quality arts events in a very efficient manner. Believe us, it goes a long way.
So won't you help us? Join the cause today!
