With the upcoming Winter Olympics event, this is a great time to rally and protest the Barbaric killings of the baby seals. Stand up tp Canada!!!!! BOYCOTT CANADA!!!!

oh! one more important thing. The Canadian Government is currently going to great lengths to try and establish a connection with China to get the government to support buying seal products from Canada. Their arguments for attempting to create a market for seal products in China is shameful and ridiculous but unfortunately there are little or no protest in China taking place to prevent this from going through, nor has the Canadian Government been met with the animals rights opposition it normally encounters :( Please send letters, sign petitions and do everything you can to stop this horrible practice.
A lot of people are posting "I had no idea Canada was so cruel" or "Shame on Canada" and I think it is important to remember that it is not an entire country that is supporting this, it is the Conservative Government of Canada that is supporting this. Within Canada hundreds of thousands of petitions are sent protesting the seal hunt and there are a large number of protests that will be taking place during the Olympics in Vancouver to show that many Canadian's do not support the Conservative Governments choice to support the seal hunt in any way.
A good way o support this cause is by signing petitions, and boycotting products, right now you can boycott Canadian products, to protest the hunting of baby seals, until the Canadian government prohibits and enforces a cease of this in-humane practice. Also stop using articles that have fur in them!
What "sportsmanship"! SHAME ON CANADA!!! You are bullies and cowards ... one in the same!

Rebecca Allworth of the Humane Society International and her team go year after year to the baby seal nurseries to see the baby seals all sunning themselves on the pristine ice in Eastern Canada, prior to the baby Seal Cull or slaughter. And, each and every year, Rebecca and the Team bear witness of this inhumane and unGodly slaughter of these defenseless baby seals. They fight tirelessly to change and or pass legislation to stop this brutal slaughter! And all this is done from a Nonprofit organization. So they need your donations to help them continue to fight this most worthy battle and win it! So please donate if you can, even if it is just $2.00. In Canada, each year Thousands upon Thousands of Baby Seals are hunted down and brutually slaughtered for mainly their furs during the Commercial Seal Hunt. These baby seals are still in their nurseries on the ice and probably have not even taken their first swim. While these beautiful babies are checking out this ...new wonderful world of theirs and just lying around sunning on the ice, they have no idea the seal hunters are creeping up on them to hit kill them. These baby seals are so new to the world that they even sometimes go towards the very human that is going to brutually hit them over the head and kill them. When the other baby seals see what is being done, they panic and try desparately to get away, but to no avail. The once beautiful baby seal nursery turns from a pristine white to crimson with blood! Please help stop this horrible slaughter of these precious innocent baby seals. Thanks! Cordelia
i cant believe that the money is more important than lilife....the only dream that i have is that one day my sons could live in a better world please respect the animals........
Yes, Marcie, hopefully that one day is very soon! I thought with the EU ban of Seal fur and products and now Italy signing a preliminary ban, that the Canadian Government would stop this brutal and inhumane slaughter of those poor defenseless baby seals. But, alas, not so. Actually, the Canadian Government is appealing to the WTO to see if they cannot get the EU's ban thrown out. Can you believe that? Simply unbelievable! Shame on you Canadian Government!
I had no idea Canada was so cruel. Killing baby seals that don't even get a figting chance. Hopefully one day they can live without the fear of being slautered!!!!
Year after year, I have been forcing my self to witness the brutal baby seal cull in Canada to try and let the world know how cruel and inhumane this is to the baby seals. I, unfortunately, will again be witness, through Rebecca and her team, to this most horrific slaughtering of these beautiful innocent babies. Please, please Canadian Government, Stop this Cruelty now!!!!
Until animal cruelty and exploitation end, how can we call ourselves civilized?!
