MS SoftServe is a unique e-learning environment that provides information so that we – the people with MS- can learn at a pace we are comfortable with, accessing only the information we are looking for. Everyone knows what is its like researching health on the Internet. If you weren’t worried before you are certainly worried after. Well, when you live with MS – a variable disease that affects everyone differently, it’s hard to avoid the information that fills you with fears of “what if” and “will this be me?”
It doesn’t have to be that way. With today’s technology and what we know about how people learn best, we can create a customizable space for people to control the what and how they learn. If some cope best with knowing everything, they have that option. If some only want to learn about what they are experiencing or the question marks of a diagnostic process, they can have it their way.
You can decide how you want to get your information. Just as everyone has a different version of MS, we all learn in different ways. For me, if its not visual it just doesn’t sink in. Whether you prefer reading, listening, viewing videos or animations you can chose your preferences. You can even choose the language level you prefer … be it Everyday, Scientific or Simply Put. This is just the beginning. There are a wealth of options customized for you that will make MS SoftServe your life-learning companion.
So please consider a tax-deductible donation. Be it $5 or $50, every amount is important in our effort to bring meaningful learning to the Internet.
If you are or know anyone who is interested in participating in this effort, write to me at amy@mssoftserve.com. Our greatest initial need is a grantwriter~
MS SoftServe – empowering people with MS to live and learn on their own terms.
SoftServe Matters is a 501c3 registered non-profit whose mission is to bring
MS SoftServe and other health learning sites to those who need it most.
1. 400,000 people are living with MS in America with 200 new cases being diagnosed every week. The numbers worldwide are nearing 2.5 million.
2. Those of us with MS can be empowered by learning, though many of us resist it, for fear of being exposed to unwanted information that isn't needed.
3. MS SoftServe puts us in control of the learning, letting us decide what we want to know, and how we want to learn it.
