About Nepalese Children's Education Fund

To develop the potentials of disadvantaged children in Nepal through education.

The Nepalese Children's Education Fund (NCEF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop the potential of disadvantaged Nepalese children through education. NCEF identifies children who need help that their families are unable to provide. They are placed in school and provided with textbooks and supplies. Our social workers in Nepal meet regularly with the children and their parents to assist in the development of the child. We dedicate our resources to each child until they complete high school (grade 12).

Established in 2002, NCEF has raised more than $54,000 and awarded a total of 116 scholarships in Kathmandu, Kavre, Nepalgunj, Patan, Mustang and Palpa. NCEF has identified local coordinators and volunteers to administer the scholarships while meeting its requirements of financial accountability and regular followups with the children.

NCEF is a project run entirely by volunteers. NCEF has no salaries, compensations, or office expenses.

1. If given opportunities, children from poor families and marginalized groups can develop their potentials through education.

2. As little as $100 will put a needy child through a year of school.

3. All donations go directly to our children, in paying for their school tuition and school supplies.

4. NCEF works solely with the help of dedicated group of volunteers in the US and in Nepal.
