Vessel came out of my own battle with cancer and the fear and loneliness that went along with diagnosis. As a person that has a strong support network, I wondered about those patients that had to go through chemotherapy treatment alone. Vessel strives to be a resource, a friend, a comfort and a community. Our goal is to be the emotional-support side of treatment: the warm blanket in a cold clinic, the silk pillowcase against a sensitive scalp. Vessel partners with local artisans and companies, seeking to infuse support not just for the patient but for the community as well. There is an abundance of medical resources for cancer and chemotherapy but few focus on the patient's emotional welfare and comfort. This is where we hope to make a difference.
