Baltimore Biomass is a buyers cooperative that makes local, sustainably grown biomass available to its members for use as heating fuel. Baltimore Biomass is a project of Sustainable Urban Infrastructures, Inc., a Maryland registered non-profit corporation.

1. We know that the United States is capable of being energy independent, and in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manor.

2. We know that in order to become energy independent we need to utilize a wide variety of fuel sources.

3. Biomass energy sources are available in abundance throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, but need to be made more accessible to our regions citizens.
