I just finished Expecting Adam by Martha Beck. It was hard to get into, but I'm glad I stuck with it. It's not Catholic, but it has a deeply spiritual element to it when the author finds out she's carrying a child with Down syndrome and refuses to have an abortion, even when everyone around her, especially her Harvard professors, is pressuring her to "do the right thing."
