Own this vintage bike! TART Trails will be having a silent auction for this retro 24-inch Raleigh “Tourist.” You could be riding around town on this classic three-speed with lever brakes and a leather Brooks saddle. Plan to attend the TART Spring Fling on Tuesday March 24th from 4-6pm at Right Brain Brewery and submit your bid… silent auction-style. Of course, we could get the pre-bids rolling now… To do so, please respond to missy@traversetrails.org with your Name, Phone Number and Bid Amount. Starting bid=$500. Good Luck. Additional silent auction items will be available too!
If you don’t feel like bidding on a bike, please join us at the brew pub for the Spring Fling event. We’ll raise a toast to the fabulous winter, our dedicated trail grooming team and look forward for many great projects slated for this spring/summer. Join us to celebrate TART, connect with trail friends and rub shoulders with TART board members & staff. The event is meant to be fun and hopefully, we’ll raise a few bucks too.
Division St. Update: Thank you to everyone that showed up at last week's city commission meeting. All of the good comments and reasoned testimony made a difference and the commission voted unanimously to send a letter to the Grand Vision consultants asking for help on Division Street. TC-TALUS is the fiduciary agent for the Grand Vision study, and the TC-TALUS board will be considering their support of the city effort. TART supports the paving project that MDOT is planning this summer, and we are not trying to reduce motorized traffic volume. We see opportunities to meet some of the community's vision as clearly articulated in the Grand Vision, and make the street better. Please again come and voice your input on Tuesday Feb 17, 10:00 a.m. at the Michigan Works Conference Room- 1209 South Garfield Road.
Yah! We hit 50 members! What a viral effect! Friends keep inviting friends to join and support TART!
