The more expensive and irreversible choice, in the long run, would be not to maximize renewable energy. It doesn´t necessarily mean to affect the economy in any State nor threaten anybody´s job as it can provide the necessary jobs to boost the economy, as long as there´s investment and support into research to make these tools more accessible!!

Please no crack pots. vortex energy, time traveling crystals, it's BS. if it actually produced endless free energy you wouldn't have to post it here.

Part of rebuilding Native American sovereignty is achieving energy independence. The Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota is a place where Native Americans are trained in renewable energy approaches by other Native Americans. Check it out at:

WONDERING WHERE TO FIND GREEN JOBS IN THE U.S.? WELL, NEW YORK, SAN FRANCISCO, BOSTON, DETROIT AND PORTLAND ARE THE BEST CITIES TO FIND GREEN COLLAR JOBS!:O)
1. New York City - On Earth Day 2007, the Big Apple launched PlaNYC, a program with 127 initiatives for greening the city, including retrofitting buildings for energy efficiency and striving for the cleanest air quality of any big U.S. city.
2. San Francisco – California leads the nation in clean energy jobs, with approximately 125,000 jobs in the sector. Around San Francisco, the clean jobs rate is sure to be on the rise with a recently passed $100 million in revenue bonds to support renewable energy projects.
San Francisco became the first city in the U.S. to pass a mandatory recycling and composting law in an effort to achieve a city-wide goal of zero waste by 2020. The city already boasts the nation’s highest recycling rate, at an impressive 72 percent.
3. Boston – With a new single stream recycling program and a huge reliance on wind power, Boston is beginning to finds itself a regular participant on top green lists. With new buildings having to be constructed to meet LEED certification standards, green construction and engineering jobs are on the rise.
4. Detroit – OK, this one shocked us too. In your typical eco-chat around the water cooler, Detroit probably isn’t a common word to spill out of your mouth. But upon closer inspection, perhaps it does deserve to be in this esteemed list. With the highest unemployment rate of any state hovering around 15 percent, Michigan has one direction to go: up.
Federal Department of Energy green technology grants have been awarded to the state to fund factories and create green jobs where skilled automotive expertise already exists in Detroit. Detroit holds promising careers for skilled laborers and engineers working with auto companies to bring hybrid and electric technology to the forefront of the American auto industry.
5. Portland – Not surprising that Portland tops out the top five list as the city has long been recognized for its green efforts. Portland gets half of its power from renewable energy sources, 35 percent of its buildings have been certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and a quarter of the workforce commutes to work via bike, carpool or public transportation. The Pew Charitable Trust reports that Oregon was the No. 1 performer in the creation of clean energy jobs, with more than 20,000 in 2007.

SALTY SUNSHINE BEAMING AT NIGHT!:O)
Salt: Enabling Solar Power After Dark
Posted by Margaret Collins on Thursday, December 31st 2009
You may have heard about the new technology that promises to extend solar power production into previously unknown territory: darkness. The key ingredient is a type of salt that acts as a thermal mass, becoming molten during the heat of the day and then releasing that stored heat at night to provide steam to power turbines for energy production. The New York Times blog Green Inc. offers a good look at the details of the Nevada solar plant being planned around this technology, and a good sum-up of how it will actually work:

PERHAPS A SWEET AND SOUR DEAL, BUT STILL SWEET!:O)
The Obama administration tried to sweeten a climate change deal for developing countries today with the promise of a $350m fund for the development of new clean energy technologies.
The fund will be used to encourage the development of renewable energy projects such as wind and solar power and more energy efficient appliances in the developing world.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING U.S.A! SOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY LAST MINUTE TIPS FOR THANKSGIVING!
Cook up Thanksgiving energy savings with the help of Progress Energy
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (November 11, 2009) – Thoughts of Thanksgiving often conjure up sights, smells and tastes reminiscent of a holiday meal like no other. While you’re working up a sweat in the kitchen this November, take a few simple steps to make sure the only thing that’s sizzling is your roasting turkey.
Consider these valuable, energy-saving tips:

Shut the door: Admit it. You like to watch food cook. This Thanksgiving, resist the urge to open the oven door, as doing so will decrease the temperature inside by 25 to 30 degrees. Use your oven light instead to keep the oven hot and the kitchen comfortable.
Share the space: The turkey may be the star of the show, but don’t forget about the supporting cast. Insist your turkey shares space in the oven with the sides and pies and you’ll reduce the overall amount of time your oven is on – saving energy and money in the process.
Zap it: Even on Thanksgiving, your microwave can be a valuable tool. By using microwaves and toaster ovens to cook or warm smaller items like veggies and rolls, you could save up to 30 percent of the energy required to cook in a conventional oven.
Place pots properly: Play an energy-saving matching game by pairing your pots with equivalent-sized burners. Heat is lost when small pots are used on large burners. Increase your savings while shortening your cooking time by using tight-fitting covers on pots and pans.
Coast to the finish: Food keeps cooking even after you turn off the burner. When food is almost ready, turn off the oven or burners and let existing heat finish the cooking for you.
Ensure big (screen) savings: Want the family to gather around a new TV to watch this year’s Thanksgiving football matchup? Look for an ENERGY STAR model — it will be up to 30 percent more energy efficient than non-qualified models.
Try a cooler: Allow yourself room in the kitchen while keeping refrigerated goodies cold by putting your guests’ drinks on ice. http://progress-energy.com/aboutus/ne...
