Cancer runs in my family. Both sides. My dad passed away from lung cancer and my maternal grandma has breast cancer.
I been one year since last my aunt jerry anna jackson cole from lung cancer and she was 62 years old
I am a cancer survivor for 9 years now. I was diagnosed with malignant thyroid cancer in 1999. When I awoke from surgery I was told you have cancer and you are pregnant. I was 6 weeks along in the pregnancy. I was told if I kept the baby I would have to wait to receive my intesive radiation therapy due to the severe harm it would cause to the baby. I was also told it could spread during the time I was pregnant as they can't be sure it was removed 100% due to the location of cancer. I opted to wait until after the pregnancy and clearance from my OB dr. 10 months later I received my radiation and had to be away from my kids for 8 weeks due to the level of radiation and harm it could cause them. I was ill for 2 years during treatment and crawled to the kids room many times to do what was needed to provide their care. I don't regret anything and have a beautiful 10 year old daughter as well as my almost 15 year old son. I thank God every day I am alive and work as a nurse full time caring for others.
My husband Jimmy Hagan of monroe Ky. has Rentl cell carcinoma and they are going to have to take one of his kidney's out.I know of a lot of people who have had cancer, But you never think about it being in your own home. Please keep him in your prayer's

my family and i have lost a loved one he was takin before is time and is missed dearly by all
my family and i have lost several loved ones to cancer and they were all brave in their fight but lost the fight. I do not want this to go on, we need to find a cure.
