Upwardly Global is a national non-profit organization with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. Our mission is to eliminate employment barriers for skilled immigrants and refugees and integrate this population into the U.S. professional workforce.

1. We work intensely with skilled immigrants for up to six months to revise their resumes, give them skills in networking and interviewing, and connect them to opportunities through our network.

2. We partner with forward-thinking employers who understand that to compete in the global economy, top companies need to develop a pipeline of skilled immigrant talent and train their employees in cross-cultural recruitment and retention strategies.

3. We address the barriers to re-entry for licensed professionals by creating increased transparency and advising government and advocacy stakeholders on policy actions.

Through our Job Seeker and Employer Network programs, we have seen amazing results. We have placed more than 1,300 job seekers, and served more than 3,000 job seekers. Our placements are now working at an average starting salary of $40,000, more than double the average pre-Upwardly Global income for those that were underemployed. These individuals work in all sectors of the economy: health care, engineering, nonprofit, education, finance, accounting, and more.

Upwardly Global is sought out nationally and globally for our expertise in skilled immigrant integration. We were invited to share our work with the Clinton Global Initiatives: Americas Conference on Economic Recovery, and the White House Domestic Policy Council. These opportunities are evidence of our proven solutions to help solve the US jobs mismatch, eliminate poverty for individuals and families, and stimulate economic growth.
