Adopt A Family for the Holidays: PSKS Secret Santa
Make Santa come to life for a child or family in need this holiday season! This year, you can "adopt" an at-risk or street-involved youth or family and ensure that they have a very merry Christmas.
One of the best times of the year at PSKS (one of our favorite partner organizations!) is during the holiday season. Last year, PSKS's Secret Santa program was able to help over 150 participants and their pets for the holidays, with almost half of that support coming entirely from the Kirkland Mafia!

Note that we're doing this a little different than last year; if you commit to adopting a person or family for the holidays, you purchase their gifts. (Unfortunately, KM will not be able to pay for the gifts this year like we have been fortunate to do in years past.) If you choose to sponsor a participant, please plan to provide at least 2-3 of their needs, 1 wish, and a gift certificate (on average, this costs about $75 - $100 per person you adopt). This is a great program to involve friends, family, and co-workers in in order to share the cost (and the fun!).
To adopt someone, please RSVP "Yes" to this meetup by November 19th, and let us know who you would like to adopt. I'll contact you with detailed wish lists and other information.
Because we're all about getting together and having fun, we'll be scheduling an informal holiday shopping night at a local department store (likely Target or Fred Meyer in Redmond) where you can show up and get all of your holiday shopping done, particularly shopping for your adopted family. Keep an eye out for a meetup with all of the details.

PSKS provides support and services for current & formerly homeless youth and young adults in the Seattle area. Their committed efforts are targeted at providing stepping stones to transition youth and young adults from the streets to self-sufficiency and productive roles in the community. KM is proud to support them each year!
