This is a wonderful program! I hope you'll sign up to either donate or just be more informed about all that's being done with the dogs to help rehabilitate prison inmates. I've seen this on TV, and it's so touching, and really seems to help so much!
does any one know if Michigan has puppies behind bars, if not they should. how would i go about finding out or getting the program here?

We got a prison dog this last November. She is such a sweet heart! She knows all basic commands, is crate trained, well socialized, and VERY good with my kids (has eliminated nightmares at my house!) A fabulous first family pet! And very therapeutic for both the dogs and the inmates.
A friend of ours returned home with severe PTSD and he received one of the dogs from this program and it has help him so much.
Thank God and the wonderful people who love and train these beautiful animals.Thank them for caring enough to make a difference in the lives of the people who defend this country.
I am a disabled veteran. I got a service dog which was trained for ptsd. I love Abby so very much. She later was trained for Mobility Assistance. Washington Department of Veterans Affairs purchased a much needed mobility harness for us. My story began, while in the United States Air Force, I had (PDA) open heart surgery. During this procedure and lack of proper follow up care my spinal cord was damaged. I spent 7 years in a wheelchair, managed with the Grace of God to get onto a walker. Now thanks to the Grace of God and the assistance of Abby, my mobility assistance dog specializing in ptsd, I now don't have to be in a wheelchair or us a walker for the most part with Abby. I love this Charity.
Excellent cause! Its a positive way for someone who has made a mistake in their life to make a contribution back to society.
