Alex Del Rio Foundation

The mission of the Foundation is to energize, educate and enrich the lives of the youth in our community through scholarships and donations.

The Alex Del Rio Foundation was created to honor the sacrifice and service of fallen Hollywood Police Officer Alex. Alex's mother, Miriam Fernandez, was motivated to start this foundation after Alex died in a tragic accident while serving his community. Alex was passionate about serving and providing a safe environment to his community. To continue with Alex's dreams, the Foundation will embark on a journey by seeking to energize, educate and enrich the lives of the youth in our community. The mission of the foundation is to empower children and families by providing scholarships and other assistance. The Foundation is also dedicated to helping families during time of crisis and loss. It's our hope that the Alex Del Rio Foundation and its Christian principles will help teach our youth that "dreams can come true, that hope, character and hard work can and will result in a better life.
