Thousands of people die every year from alcohol and cigarettes a legal death sentence the government profits from. Basically if the government officials legalised cannabis , We could therefore grow our own, (why not it is a plant after all), It would however be a catastrophic loss for all governments as the policing and the growing of medical marajuana would not be needed, I feel they are keeping it to themselves as they already know it is a valuable comodity of which the government cannot and will not lose, Drug dealers take you into harder drugs, not the use of cannabis, per say.
