We were THIS close to getting a first step toward payday lending reform but ESHB 1709 failed in the Senate moments ago by ONLY ONE VOTE. The House will ask the Senate to vote once again on the bill because we think we can get there. PLEASE call your legislator now at 1-800-562-6000 and ask that they vote for ESHB 1709 WITHOUT the striker amendment so consumers can have protections from dangerous payday loans.
