JNF's Secure Indoor Recreation Center In Sderot, Israel

JNF has found a way to truly make a major and lasting impact on the community, by developing an indoor supervised playground, exercise and recreation facility for children age 16 and under. This all-inclusive Indoor Recreational Center will provide Sderot’s youth with a place to have fun, connect with friends, enjoy stimulating classes, and be children, beyond the conflict. Parents will have peace of mind knowing that their children are playing and learning in an environment that is safe and secure.

The building housing the JNF Sderot Indoor Playground will be approximately 20,000 square feet, one third of which will consist of play structures for children ages seven and under. Another third of this facility will be for children, ages 8 – 16, and will include a small indoor soccer field, volleyball court, rock climbing simulation and snack area, all with adult supervision. The remaining space will feature a movie and television area, as well as three therapy rooms to help children suffering from trauma.

2. The playground will be used by 20,000 people a year. It costs a total of $5 million dollars to construct. $3.2 million has been raised so far.

3. With a soccer field, movie theater, computer lab and much more, children will have a safe place to have fun and connect with friends.
