Celebrate the Holidays supporting Real Medicine Foundation's education and health outreach programs, helping families and restoring dreams right here in Los Angeles.  Real Medicine focuses its outreach through the Florence Western Medical Clinic in South Los Angeles with the goal of increasing health care access, health education, and other community outreach.  

The Florence Western Medical Clinic seeks to treat as many South Los Angeles residents as possible with the goal of turning no one away and also acts as a hub for community gathering and events for all ages. The clinic offers Primary Care, Gastroenterology, Podiatry services as well as onsite pharmacy, lab and radiology services.  It accepts all public and most private insurance plans, and for those with no insurance, it offers very reasonable cash prices.

The economic uncertainty facing the nation has hit South Los Angeles particularly hard, and the children living there bear the brunt of it.  On a daily basis, many of these young people face threats of gang violence, homelessness, high unemployment, and unstable home environments. The emotional scars on these children could affect them for a lifetime.

Despite these hard times, your continued support gives Real Medicine the resources to help the children of South Los Angeles with a safe place at Florence Western that nourishes the mind, body and soul.  These children are encouraged to express themselves through art, reading and other specialized workshops at the clinic unavailable elsewhere in the community.

In 2012, Real Medicine hopes to provide more services, including a registered dietician, lifestyle counseling, fieldtrips to cultural centers and music programs, grief counseling and other much needed community services.

How You Can Make a Difference

$50- Yoga or fitness instructor for one workshop

$100- Food Bank driver for one month

$250- Physical Therapist for one month

$500- Grocery cards for 20 families

$800- 60 Backpacks with supplies for children's Back to School Event

$1000- Sports Equipment, toys, books, and art supplies for Children's Holiday Party (60 children).
