Hi Rocky,
So your dog Yuki had the body shot on Wednesday, November 16th. Is that correct? Where is Cebu? Could you PM me and give me the vet's full contact information to add to the file?

Jeff, That's great that your dog has had the CSF procedure already! The pneumonia can take awhile to get rid of, but it's a good sign Max is eating again! That will help his immune system to fight this.

I'm keeping records of all dogs who have had the body and CSF procedure and a Word file list of vets, so when you have your dogs treated would you contact me?

Important information to include:

1) Name of dog and owner
2) Breed(s) of dog (if you know)
3) What City and State you live in
4) Name and contact info of treating vet(s)
5) Date body treated (and age)
6) Date CSF procedure done (and age)

Also, if you could send at least one before picture and one after picture that will also be helpful. I'm creating some educational materials and your dog could be instrumental in getting the word out to save others that come after.

Thanks,

Sincerely,

Pippit

Today Max is eating for the first time in almost 2 weeks and has energy like we haven't seen from him since his adoption last month. Apparently the pneumonia may be the most dangerous problem now, but his initial signs are good.

My puppy Max underwent the procedure today with injection into the CSF. The brush border smear test came back with inclusions, meaning he has distemper. He made it through and is now recovering in an oxygen enclosure he needs due to extreme pneumonia. Cross your fingers folks, Max could be the poster-puppy if he beats this.

Hi! I have a labrador "Daisy" who has a distemper, first i had no idea where Daisy got the virus but she surely show signs of Distemper according to Vet and she gave Daisy 3 shots to calm her... then she even prescribed me 3 medication that could possibly help her LC-Scour(Antibacterial, LC-Vit(Vitamin) and Electrolyte. First 2 days i allowed Daisy to stay in my room to monitor her and i know TLC can also help them feel better so i let her stay with me. I continue her medications for 1 week now and she's looks fine but still she cough sometimes and vomit white foam. After a days i let Daisy play with other puppies "Nicole and Benjamin" so i thought it will be fine since Daisy wiggle her tail showing that she wants to play with other puppies. Few days after Benjamin acting weird and he has a watery eyes and he cough sometimes since i havent let Benjamin take a bath for 1 week, i decided to give him a lukewarm bath just to refresh his feelings but on the next day he doesnt want to eat nor to drink water, what makes me really scared when he got seizure... he's really weird he doesnt even know his name everytime i called him.. so i send him to vet, she said that he has Nervous Distemper she gave him a shot and prescribed us some medicines that could help him but then after 48 hours Benjamin passed away after we had dinner i gave him some medicines but it didnt work :( and now im afraid with the 2 puppies what shall i do???? if these 2 puppies had direct contact with Benjamin it could possibly happened to them... is there any way i can prevent this before Nicole shows some sign like Benjamin had... please do help me what shall i do.. I don't want to lose another puppy again.. :( please..
