About Show Me A Cure

We work to find a cure for ALL cancers through fundraising events, provide aid to Missouri families affected by cancer, and to promote the culture of giving!

Show Me A Cure is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the fight against ALL cancers and providing aid and hope to local Missouri families affected by cancer.

Since starting in 2008 by Matt Bay, a local firefighter, and his wife Angie, a registered nurse, the couple has quickly developed Show Me A Cure from a group of friends and neighbors into a statewide network of dedicated volunteers working together to raise money for people and families affected by cancer, as well as organizations that are actively working to find a cure for cancer.

"Cancer touches all lives, whether you or someone you know has been diagnosed with some form of it,” says founder Matt Bay. “It’s a scary thing, and I think that people want to do everything they can to help find a cure. It is so inspiring to see how willing everyone is to help with our cause.”

Show Me A Cure’s main event each year is 'PEDALING OUT CANCER,' a bike ride down the Katy Trail. The 2009 date is set for Sept. 26th and all the proceeds from this years event will go to Siteman Cancer Center.

A new program called 'Helping Hands' was recently formed to offer direct
financial assistance to families affected by cancer for everyday living expenses such as mortgage payments, utility bills and auto bills. Such families are asked to fill out assistance applications and funds are distributed to the chosen families as they are available.
