For those of you not in Northern NM, it's been really snowy the last few weeks! Horses are great. Romping in the flurries, blowing bubbles in the water trough (not really, but it looks like it!) Fire was taking a drink the other day and then just stopped, pink tongue hanging out, water dripping, to watch us watching her… Read More

After Karen froze her butt off for a bit waiting for them to come down to the corral for protein block on their own, she went looking for them. They followed her down to the corral. She ran to the trailer nearby and hid with the rope on the gate, and managed to get it shut before anyone had a chance to run out. Visited the gang today - pretty hilarious! Lots of snow in northern NM, for those of you not here. Amidst the snow, Fire, Moon, and Sun took turns rolling in the mud and wet together. Picture wild horses rolling all the way over from side to side, stopping in the middle with four hooves in the air seemingly to scratch their backs. And then doing it again. Running amok in the snow was next, with all of the band slipping and sliding and play fighting. They did take a break to snack on some protein block and nicker at us.
