Hey Friends, My niece's school is in danger of closing!! Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated! They have been forced to relocate and need our help!! Still time to send a donation and earn a tax deduction for 2009!!!

My daughter's school, The Scholars' Academy, is in danger of closing because they can't afford the fees for fire inspections and zoning approval for their new location. NH finally has its first school for gifted children; if you can spare even a small amount this holiday season, your tax deductable donation could make a world of difference to some wonderful children.

My kids aren't old enough to "go" to school yet, but I think this is an amazing idea! I was classified as gifted in school and bored to the bone in public school. I imagine it is worse now with initiatives designed to level all students out. I don't want my children to hate school, I want them to learn what they love and enjoy it. I would love to help out, please feel free to contact me and I will see what I can do to help make this happen and then flourish!
Brightest Blessings!
Kara

Several of us had an idea similar to this for kids 12-20 who had been homeschooled, and had their diplomas already. The private academy would offer college level courses, foreign language programs, vocational courses, sports teams, drama club, etc. Much cheaper than a private school and much safer than a public school--avoids the schooling regulations since it's not actually a school.
