To ensure that we continue raising funds so that Chhouk will always have a prosthetic aid.
Chhouk was rescued by Wildlife Alliance in March 2007. His foot was badly damaged - most likely by a snare trap. It was decided that he should be transported to Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre where he could receive better care. Since arriving at Phnom Tamao Chhouk's health has improved dramatically. He is no longer the undernourished, frightened little calf he used to be. Under the care of his loving keepers Mr Tam and Mr Sarim he has grown into a confident and cheeky little bull. However his injury is permanent and without a prosthetic foot in the near future Chhouk will have more than a half century of spinal problems and bone deformities ahead of him. He has already had to endure the loss of his mother and an horrific injury - it's time little Chhouk's luck changed for the better.
1. Our goal is to improve the life of this young bull elephant through both enrichment projects as well as the physical aid of a prosthetic foot.
2. Support the work of Wildlife Alliance in Cambodia
