Benefit Concert in Shoreline This Sunday
Anni Korpi and Friends (other students from Shoreline Community College) will present a concert at Calvin Church to benefit Vision House - Jacob's Well, Saturday, November 14, 7 pm. The church is located at 18826 3rd Avenue NW, Shoreline, WA 98177. Hope to see you there!!

About this Petition:
1. Homelessness continues to be one of the most significant issues in King and Snohomish Counties.
2. 5,029 men, women and children were counted as homeless in King and Snohomish Counties on January 30th 2009.
3. Families with children were turned away from shelter over 30,000 times in King and Snohomish counties in 2008 due to lack of space.

Our annual Bargain Bash! You aren't gonna want to miss this one. HUGE barely describes it!! Incredible items and dirt cheap!
Also, do you have items in your house or garage that you don't use any more? Why not donate them to our Bargain Bash Garage Sale to benefit Vision House families?! Please donate items by July 31st. Garage sale will be held Aug. 21-22 at the Children's Village Child Care Center: 450 Bremerton Ave. NE, Renton.

I joined the Vision House Cause here on Facebook because Vision House gave me a new start at a time when I desperately needed someone to believe in me and believe in myself!! I may not be able to fund the organization (a dream of mine), But I can surely do THIS!!
Calls we Received
A woman in her 20’s called in tears. She had been calling shelters all morning with no success. She is a single mother of 2 and will have no place to live as of tomorrow at 11 am.
A woman living with her boyfriend, the father of her newborn twins. The boyfriend had given notice at their apartment, leading the mother to believe that the whole family would be moving together. Instead, he left her with 2 infants, no apartment, no money, and nowhere to go.
A single mother with 3, 5 and 6 year old has been homeless for 8 months. She has a problem getting housing as she has an eviction on her credit report a couple of years prior. She was living in a downtown shelter when she called.
A woman with a 4 ½ year old had been living on the streets for 3 weeks.
A woman with 5 children ages 1, 4, 5, 7 & 9 left her abusive husband and fled Arizona. She can’t find any place that will take that many children
Chaplain called to help a mom with 3 children. Their house burned down and they’re in need of temporary housing.
