Boston Partners in Education enhances the academic achievement and nurtures the growth of Boston's public school students by providing them with focused, individualized in-school volunteer support.
As the premier volunteer provider of the Boston Public Schools (BPS) since 1966, Boston Partners in Education recruits, trains, places, and supports volunteers of all ages, races, and ethnicities in the BPS to work with students one-on-one or in small groups. Our community and corporate volunteers, known as academic mentors, have touched the lives of thousands of BPS students, making a positive impact on their academic and personal development. During the 2007-2008 school year, 4,216 BPS students in 61 schools were reached by 876 volunteers.
1. It is our vision to involve the entire community of Boston in helping its students realize and achieve their full potential.
