Having firsthand knowledge of paralysis, I can not stress enough the importance of this cause. We need cures! Paralysis is much more than just a physical disability. It is equally emotionally devastating. We need more Drs like Wise Young who are out there fighting for people like myself, and for people who are going to be paralyzed soon. Let me put it into perspective for everyone. If you drive a car, you are at risk for suffering a SCI. Car crashes are the leading cause for most people to sustain these terrible injuires. We are all at risk! Let's help make sure that we find a cure!!
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Paralysis is up for a vote today, right now, in the House of Representatives as part of S.22, the Public Lands Management Act. Please call your Representative and ask them to support passage of S.22 and the CDRPA on behalf of the paralysis community!
This is an exciting cause to be a part of ... so few know about curative therapies...my teenage daughter suffered for over 3 years from symptoms caused by paralysis of a section of her brain (caused by a sports injury) - this caused her central nervous system to go absolutely haywire, which resulted in stomach paralysis, syncope (passing out episodes) body spasms and much more. Three years of going to every major hospital in our country before a neurologist diagnosed her symptoms being caused by post-concussive syndrome and prescribed therapies to rejuvinate the cells and nerves in the brain. Her cure was nothing short of a miracle - Praise God for alternatives to so many unneccessary and needless drugs and surgeries - the body CAN heal itself if given the right treatments. I support CDRPA!
