It seems to me taht most of OUR story is "we don't look ill do we" but yet we are in so much pain it's unbeleiveable and the "Cognitive Dysfunction" -- oh yes that diagnosis I bet was the worse for you just like it was for me as well.... Hello to all. I also have SLE. I have contributed to my region in the amount of $100.00. I am thrilled to see this on FB. Maybe little by little, we can bring more attention to Lupus in the way breast cancer has received so very much activity and media. Lupus needs to become made more public and awareness of new treatments that are actually FOR lupus instead of being treated with meds that are cancer treatment, etc. I have had lupus 18 years now. I do my best not to complain. I have promised myself that I will not let this disease run my life; instead I will control the disease as best as I possibly can. A positive attitude helps tremendously. Due to the SLE, I have fibromyalgia, auto-immune hepatitis, Hashimoto's (auto-immune thyroid), thin/frail skin from steroids as well as the common aches and pains. I feel tired much of the time but have recently started Mona-Vie and find that I'm honestly beginning to feel a bit more energy. Thanks to all that donate and post on this site. Lets get the word out in a big way.
