New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity (NOAHH) will be hosting our 5th Anniversary Build-a-Thon this August 24 – 28! To commemorate the incredible work we’ve accomplished in the aftermath of Katrina, we will start 5 new homes on an accelerated build schedule. We need volunteers and sponsors to join us and make this an event to remember.

The Build-a-Thon house sponsors – thus for including the Karen B. Yoh Foundation and the National Association of Realtors - will start the event by joining partner families, volunteers, and staff in raising the walls of the 5 homes on Tuesday, August 24. On Saturday, August 28, NOAHH will host a Closing Celebration with local food, drink and music from our Musicians' Village homeowners.

The 5th Anniversary Build-a-Thon is NOAHH's way of honoring the 100,000 volunteers and thousands more who donated over the last 5 years. Thanks to this outpouring of support, NOAHH blossomed into the leading homebuilder in the region. You helped us nearly triple our efforts over the last 5 years - from 101 homes over our first 22 years to over 300 in the last five! The Build-a-Thon serves not just to commemorate our progress since Hurricane Katrina, but to kick-start the next 5 years of building safe, affordable housing with low-income families and our continued dedication to the New Orleans area.
