As he prepares his new administration, Obama has the opportunity to appoint a "Drug Czar" who will shift drug policy toward a public health model and away from a criminal model. Please sign this petition and let our new president know that a change in drug policy is needed!

I am so excited about this work taking place in NC. I no longer live there, but light up in your honor. You are leading the way for southern states to change. I am disabled and use MMJ for pain relief. But it is sad that I have to fear some government agency will raid my house for the little amount of meds I can afford. Keep up the good work! Peace
I just joined another group that could use the support of more NC residents. The group is "I support the NC Medical Marijuana Bill". Please join this group also, we need to band together if we are going to get this legislation passed!
THIS SATURDAY!!!
The Raleigh Marijuana March & Rally will take place this Saturday, May 2. The event will start at high noon at the Capitol building in downtown Raleigh! Please mark your calendars, tell your friends, and invite them to the Facebook event:

Ok, so i am here to ask for everyone's help getting the true meaning of this movement out there. It is, to me, the "Right" to choose to have a dignity in life's hardest times. I have been touched by this. I have had friends and family members who have passed away from terrible disease's with small names. AIDS and Cancer are the two that have affected people close to me. I have seen 250 lbs, grown man reduced to 170 pound staving heart aches waiting to move on from this world. In pain and suffering. I am not saying marijuana is a cure for these things. We all know that is not true, BUT it does increase their quality of living. Please, I am not asking YOU to SMOKE marijuana, just please allow those who do need to have access to it. I hope none of you have to go through any of the pains of these and other horrible diseases, but I have seen with my own two eyes, what it can do for a cancer patient, in Chemo, who can not eat, but they ingest just a little marijuana they get hungry. I know what you're thinking..ha!ha!...the munchies! Well to them it is a life saver! Please, do not be afraid anymore! Stand up! Say we have had enough! You sell cigarettes to 18 year olds, you sell alcohol to us! You sell us prescription drugs until our ears fall off! If not for you, if not for a relative, do it for a stranger who will die with a little more dignity! If you have any questions, please ask. Ignorance is not bliss. People are dying for your help! Thanks...
Lets get this rollin again guys , start invites . http://www.nccpn.org/index.php, Check this link good NC news.
In the past Obama expressed intentions to change the policy regarding state medical marijuana laws....recently the Obama transition website Change.gov opened a round of questions regarding important policies. The number one topic of the questions.....drumroll......was medical marijuana. Unfortunately, Obama said he will not change the current laws....:( ...the good thing is, is that Capitol Hill publications are now picking up this issue and putting it to the front court. The second round of questions is now open and hopefully he won't dodge the issue this time....PS your right RON PAUL is the CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN....

eric johann...i'm glad that you are a supporter of this cause, and obviously have more common sense than most politicians. but barack obama is very opposed to marijuana rights...just as much as mccain was. ron paul was the only real contender for president who was openly opposed to the war on drugs. i read an article in NORML or the MPP website that quoted barack as saying that he did not believe marijuana should be legalized (or medically available, for that matter)...he is a typical, two-faced politician. let's hope that i am wrong and that he either has a moment of intellectual clarity. but i am proud to say that i voted for Dr. Ron Paul...a man of true conviction.
I have never known a day without pain. I'm a North Carolina native with a wonderful husband and 2 adult children. My condition is not known by many but is to this day changing for the worse day by day. I have not had this disease but as of recent. It's hard to get up in the morning not being able to walk. My arms and legs will not cooperate with my mind. The pain is so to where I wonder if I will ever have a day of relief. I know my pain and I deal with it. It has built stamina and I do thank God everyday that can open my eyes and see that He has given me a new one. We are not promised each day that comes so I am thankful. I have been afflicted with pain since that day I was born. If for one day this cause could help even the slightest person to not suffer then I am satisfied. God Bless each and everyone of you.
